1. Why Build Spend exists

Construction spending can quickly become difficult to follow when project details, supplier notes, receipts, budgets, and daily costs are spread across notebooks and separate files. Build Spend brings those records together in one organized app.

The goal is simple: make it easier to see what each project is, what it was expected to cost, what has already been spent, and how individual expenses contribute to the whole.

2. What Build Spend does

Construction project management

Create residential, commercial, or industrial projects with a name, description, total budget, currency, area size, start date, and Planning, Active, or Completed status. Search, filter, edit, and organize projects as work progresses.

Expense tracking

Record each expense with its project, title, amount, date, category, tags, and optional notes. Project-level currencies help keep totals consistent, while filters make specific costs easier to find.

Categories and tags

Create and manage your own categories and tags. Categories provide the primary expense grouping, while multiple tags can add project-specific context such as a phase, floor, supplier, or contractor.

Dashboard and reports

Use the dashboard to review projects and recent activity. Reports turn entered records into clearer views of project progress, budget use, and expense patterns.

Personal settings

Manage your profile, display name, and profile photo. Choose a default currency for new projects, switch between system, light, and dark appearance, and manage app preferences such as notifications and language.

3. Technology and access

Firebase services support account authentication, secure cloud data storage, app analytics, crash diagnostics, and notifications. Build Spend is intended for users aged 18 and older.

4. Privacy approach

Personal information is used to operate app features and is not sold. Build Spend does not currently display advertising or process subscriptions and payments.
